Jack White, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025, has escalated his attacks on President Donald Trump, particularly after the White House attacked the Detroit rocker.
In response to White’s description of the president’s Oval Office gold decor as “disgusting” and “an old, kitschy, gold-leafed professional wrestling locker room,” White House communications director Stephen Cheung criticized him in The Daily Beast.
“Jack White is a failed, failed man who spouts nonsense on social media because he clearly has time on his hands due to his faltering career.”
He added, “He clearly masquerades as a true artist because he doesn’t appreciate, and frankly, doesn’t respect, the magnificence and importance of the Oval Office within the People’s House.” »
White launched a vicious attack on his Instagram page after seeing this, claiming that Trump was “pretending to be human,” and White expressed every possible opinion about the president.
I wasn’t the one criticizing Trump’s blatant fascist manipulation of the government, his Gestapo-like tactics within Immigration and Customs Enforcement, his racist comments toward Latinos, Native Americans, etc., the absurd construction of his “wall,” his attacks on the disabled, his attempted coup, his mob insurrection and the destruction of the shrines of Congress, his pedophilic and sexually abusive comments toward women…
“…his obvious attempts to distract from his close friend and his inclusion in the Epstein dossier, his ignorance of the dying children of Sudan, Gaza, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, his lack of empathy for veterans and people in poverty…”
“…his attempts to dismantle the health care system, his weak and pathetic servility to dictators Putin and Jong-un, his Nazi rallies, and his attempts to sell merchandise and products through the office of the President.”
White even called the attempted assassination of the president “fake news.”
“Fake gunshot wound to the ear.” He showed no medical records or photos. His constant and persistent lies to the American people. No, I wasn’t the one who criticized any of this. It was my remarks in the Oval Office that drew their insults. How petty, pathetic, and weak can this administration get?
White has been hounding President Trump for years. In 2024, he filed a lawsuit against him for using one of the White Stripes’ most famous songs, “Seven Nation Army.” The lawsuit was later dismissed. White wrote on Instagram at the time, “This machine is chasing fascists.”
Meanwhile, President Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week in Alaska in hopes of negotiating a ceasefire and ending the war with Ukraine.
President Zelensky and a group of European leaders also met at the White House this week.
President Trump said he hopes to soon meet with Zelensky and Putin in the same room to negotiate a peaceful end to the war.
